Norfolk - A funeral service was held Wednesday in Bethlehem Disciples Church by 
the Rev. James A. Moore for Mrs. Sarah Jane Chance, 91, of 1616 Willoughby 
avenue, who died Friday in her home.  Interment followed in Calvary Cemetery 
with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.

A Goose Nest, NC, native, Mrs. Chance was a daughter of Willie and Mrs. Sallie 
Ann Burnett and the widow of Noah Chance.  She belonged to the Antioch Disciples 
Church.

Surviving are a son, Jesse J. Burnett of Norfolk;  a sister, Mrs. Maggie 
Rodgers, also of Norfolk, five grandchildren and two great-granchildren.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Cora Durham of Norfolk;  a sister, Mrs. Floyd 
Smith of Chesapeake;  two brothers, Richard Bright of Chesapeake, and John 
Bright of Norfolk;  and three grandchildren.
