Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, January 8, 1998 
Emma Chancey, 92, formerly of the 7000 block of Auburn Ave., died Jan. 5, 1998,
in Chesapeake.

She was born in Staunton, Va. and was the widow of John H. Chancey. A retired
homemaker, she was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Roberts, Frances Davis, Constance
Hollingsworth; three sons, Melvin Chancey, Frank Chancey and Phillip Chancey; 17
grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a
son-in-law; three daughters-in-law; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's
Witnesses, Humboldt Street, by Brother Ronald R. Johnson. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the family at 2933 Sunrise Ave. Graves
Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
