William Chancey, 37, of 736 Reservoir avenue, Norfolk, died at 9 a.m. Nov. 24 in a 
Norfolk hospital following an illness of several weeks. Funeral rites were 
conducted at 2 p.m. Nov. 28 at King’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Levi T. Manning 
officiating. A native of Lakeland, FL, Mr. Chancey lived in Norfolk 16 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jeanette Chancey; a stepson, William F. Benton; a 
brother, James Chancey; and a niece, Mrs. Marguerite Mosley. Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery.
