Virginian-Pilot, February 8, 1910
The body of Miss Sallie F. Chandler, a former resident of Norfolk, and the 
daughter of the late L. H. and Susan Chandler, who died in Washington, D.C., 
Saturday, will arrive here on the steamer from that city this morning and will 
be buried in the family lot in Elmwood cemetery. The service at the grave will 
be conducted by Rev. James M. Owens, of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
