Chandler, 74, of 9 Puritan Drive, Bloomfield, died Sunday (Feb 10) at a local convalescent home. He was a native of Virginia and had lived in Bloomfield since his retirement. He was employed by the Town of Onancock, Va. and also by the Norfolk Ship Building & Dry Dock Co. Survivors are a son, Everett Chandler of Bloomfield; a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Bagwell of Hartford; two grandsons, Floyd Bagwell of Windsor and Jonathan Bagwell of Norfolk State University; a granddaughter, Gayle Bagwell of Hartford; two great-grandchildren, Everett and Floyd Bagwell; a brother, Claude Chandler of Philadelphia, Pa.; five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Logan of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Lelia Easton and Miss Frances Chandler, both of Onancock, Va., Mrs. Madelyn Henderson and Mrs. Susie Wise, both of Baltimore, Md. Funeral services will be Friday, 7 p.m., at Wharton Funeral Home, Accomack, Va. Interment will be n Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk, Va. Memorial donations may be made to Bethel AME Church, Onancock, Va. The Henry L. Fuqua Funeral Chapel, Hartford, has charge of local arrangements.
