Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, July 23, 2000 
Raymond Claude Chandler of the 3500 block of Seay Avenue passed away July 16,
2000, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

``Ray,'' as he was also known, was a native of Richmond. He was predeceased by
his parents, Etter Thompson Chandler and Aaron Darren Chandler. Mr. Chandler was
employed by Atlantic Protective Service as a security guard.

Mr. Chandler leaves to cherish his memory three sisters, Sallie Lee Chandler,
Alice Chandler Patrick and Sarah Chandler Goins; three brothers, Aaron Darren
Chandler II, Charlie Spencer Chandler and Wilbert Chandler; a devoted friend,
Brenda Woodson; and a host of family and friends.

A funeral will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. at Saint Andrews COGIC with the Rev.
Lamar Brown and the Rev. Glover Hines presiding. Interment will be at Calvary
Cemetery in Norfolk. The family will receive friends at 2020 Midway Avenue and
3509 Seay Avenue. Riddick Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
