Virginian-Pilot July 15, 1908
Mrs. Mary E. Chapel, wife of George C. Chapel, departed this life at her home, 11 
Avenue B, Atlantic City ward, at 10:35 o’clock a.m. yesterday after a lingering 
illness, in the 41st year of her age. The funeral will be solemnized from her late 
residence at 11 o’clock this morning and will be conducted by Rev. E. E. Dudley of 
the Central Baptist church.
