Mrs. Elizabeth Chapman
William A. Chapman

CHESAPEAKE - Mrs. Elizabeth (Bibbie) Robinson Chapman, 73, died Sunday at 
7:10 a.m. in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness.
Her husband, William Alfred Chapman, 79, died Friday at 8:50 p.m. in a 
Norfolk nursing home after an illness of a year.  They lived at 608 Great 
Bridge Blvd. since 1937, and at 5409 N. Sunland Drive, Haven Heights, 
Virginia Beach, seven months.
Mrs. Chapman was a native of South Norfolk.  Mr. Chapman, a native of 
Duluth, Minn. retired in January 1957 after 28 1/2 years as warehouse 
foreman with Gulf Oil Corp.
Mrs. Chapman was a daughter of Frank Calder Robinson Sr., and Mrs. Edna Earl 
Hozier Robinson.
Mr. Chapman was a son of John A. and Mrs. Josephine Chapman.
Both were members of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Chapman was a charter and life member of the Women's Society of 
Christian Service of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and Friendship 
Eastern Star Chapter 57.
Mrs. Chapman is survived by two brothers, Carlyle B. Robinson of Norfolk and 
Charles M. Robinson of Portlock, Chesapeake; two nieces, Mrs. Jean Allegood 
of Haven Heights, Virginia Beach, and Mrs. Anne E. Jolly of Chesapeake; a 
great-niece; and two great-nephews.
A double funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Graham 
Funeral Home, South Norfolk.  Burials will be in Magnolia Cemetery.  Eastern 
Star Rites will be accorded by Friendship Chapter 57.
The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 10.
