Virginian Pilot/Norfolk Landmark January 22, 1921

The funeral of Miss Lucy A Chapman took place yesterday afternoon at 8 o’clock 
at the residence of her nephew, P.S. Gronto, 208 Franklin Avenue, and was 
conducted by Rev. D.N. McLauchlin, D.D., of the Second Presbyterian Church, 
assisted by Rev. Frank L. Wells, of Ghent Methodist Church. Mrs. George 
Pilcher rendered a solo. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, the pallbearers 
being J.W. Davenport, Oscar DeMott, J. W.  Jones, C.R. Taylor, F.O. Simpson 
and C. E. Schools
