C, a retired doctor’s nurse, died in a hospital Monday. She was the widow of Charles Harrell Chapman and a daughter of Charles Claremont and Mrs. Susan Wesley Evans Gunter. She was a lifelong resident of Norfolk. She was a member of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church and Old Dominion Eastern Star Chapter 100. She retired in 1961 as nurse to Dr. James Anderson after 35 years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Katie Chapman Wood of Norfolk; a niece, Mrs. Virginia Siebert Miller, and a great-niece, Mrs. Thomas Trant, both of Virginia Beach; and four nephews. The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive, to Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church for a funeral service today at 3 p.m. by the Rev. William L. Wilson. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The body will be in church at 3 p.m. An Eastern Star service will be held at the grave.
