Virginian-Pilot May 21, 1954
William Henry Chapman, a former resident of Norfolk, died at his home on 
Lexington Boulevard, Richmond, yesterday morning, after an illness of several 
months.
Son of the late A. W. Chapman and Mrs. Kate Lee Chapman, he was born in Norfolk 
and had resided in Richmond for the last 25 years. He was associated with the 
Richmond Structure Steel Company.
An active member of the Rotary Club, he was secretary of the Norfolk Rotary Club 
at one time.
Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Ora Pruden Chapman.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 10:30 a. m. at the A. W. Bennett 
Funeral Home in Richmond, and services will be conducted at the grave in Elmwood 
Cemetery, Norfolk, at 2:30 p.m. by Dr. Roland P. Riddick, pastor of Park Place 
Methodist Church.
