NORFOLK - Funeral rites for Mrs. Carrie Chapman of 740 B avenue were conducted
Sunday in St. Mary’s Pentecostal Holiness Church.  A native of Norfolk, she was
the widow of Isaac Chapman and a daughter of the late Edward Wright and Mrs.
Catherine Wright.

Surviving are a son, Preston Chapman of New York;  four daughters, Mrs. Thelma
Parker, Mrs. Mary C. Leach and Mrs. Audrey Manley of Norfolk and Mrs. Nellie V.
Carroll of New York.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home handling the
arrangements.
