Chapman, 46, husband of Mrs. Angela Fernandes Chapman, a native of Coaldale, W. Va. and a resident of Norfolk for the past seven years, died at 7:10 a.m. yesterday. He resided at 2913 East Ocean View Avenue. Mr. Chapman was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, retiring from the Navy after 20 years service, including service in World War II. He was employed as radio technician at the Norfolk Naval Air Station. He was also a member of the East Ocean View Presbyterian Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Belcher, of Bluefield, W.Va. and Mrs. Laura Davidson, of Pilot, Va.; two brothers, Paul Chapman, of Mayberry, W. Va. and John Chapman, of Logan, W. Va. and several nieces and nephews. The body was removed to the H.D. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
