NORFOLK - Mrs. Lucy J. Charity of 1317 W. 42nd St. died Thursday in a hospital after
a long illness.

A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of George Charity and a daughter of the late
Anthony and Mrs. Ardelia R. Jones.

She was a deaconess and 75-year member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Anthony Charity, and a daughter, Mrs. Mary B. Northington, both
of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in Jerusalem Baptist Church by the
Rev. T.M. Venable. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in
charge.

The family will assemble at 7526 Hughhart St.
