Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Monday January 7, 1929
Mrs. Virginia Gaskins Charles, widow of Edward Charles and daughter of the late 
James S. and Ann Gaskins, a native and life-long resident of Norfolk, died 
yesterday morning at 11:25 o'clock at her residence in the Tazewell Apartments, 
225 Granby street.  She is survived by a number of great nieces.  Services will be 
held at H.D. Oliver's funeral apartments, 610-612 East Freemason street, tomorrow 
afternoon at 3 o'clock, the Rev. H.H. Covington, D.D., rector of St. Paul's 
Church, officiating  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
