Y., and a resident of Norfolk for the past 59 years, died at his residence, Apartment 2, Cardova Apartments, 410 Thirty-Fifth Street, last night at 6:45 o’clock. For 39 years prior to his retirement January 1, 1930, Mr. Chase was an employee in the Water Department of the City of Norfolk. Besides his wife, Mrs. Lucy Dudley Chase, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert L. Ellis and Mrs. John H. Coster and three grandchildren, all of Norfolk. The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, pending arrangements. Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday January 5, 1943 Adelbert Richmond Chase- Funeral services for Mr. Chase, who died Saturday night at the residence 410 Thirty-Fifth Street were held at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, with the Rev. Joseph V. Brennan, pastor of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church officiating. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. The Pallbearers were S. C. Morrisette, E. H. Herbert, R. W. Fitzgerald, S. W. Bullock, C. F. Fitzsimmons, F. D. Murden, N. D. Gilfoyle and C. B. Helberger.
