Virginian Pilot February 2, 1971 

James J. Chatam Jr. of 241 W. 30th St. died Sunday in Hampton Veterans Hospital.
A native of Plymouth, N.C., he was a son of the late James Chatam Sr. and Mrs. 
Harriett Chatam.
He was a Navy veteran of World War I.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Hubbard of Norfolk and Mrs. Anna Parker 
of New York; and two nieces, Mrs. Ruth Pool of Brooklyn and Mrs. Naomi Coffil of 
New York.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Graves Funeral Chapel by 
the Rev. Frank P. Wise. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
