The funeral of Joseph Chatman, 903 Bynum Street, who died at his home March 7, 
was held from the Metropolitan A. M. E. Z. Church on Sunday, March 12, with 
the pastor, the Rev. E. O. Cowan, officiating. The deceased was born in North 
Carolina, but lived here for 16 years. A large number of friends survive him.
