Norfolk - Mrs. Hattie B. Chatman, of 2802 Virginia Beach Blvd., the widow of 
Wilson Chatman, died Thursday in the home of her sister, Mrs. Ora B. Smith of 
Dudley, NC.

A native of Pikesville, NC, she was a daughter of Curtis and Mrs. Hattie 
Braswell.

She was a missionary and Sunday School teacher of Jerusalem Baptist Church and a 
member of Community Prayer Band and Elizabeth Tents 364.

She is also survived by another sister, Mrs. Mary A. Coley of Brooklyn.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in Jerusalem Baptist Church by 
the Rev. T. M. Venable.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Citizens 
Funeral Home in charge.
