Mr. Cheatham was born in South Norfolk and was a member of Norfolk United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Phenon S. Cheatham; two daughters, Debbie Williams and Ann D. Corbin, both of Norfolk; a brother, James Cheatham of Philadelphia; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Twilight Funeral Home by the Rev. Finley Jones. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may join the family at 3702 Killam Ave., and will assemble there at 10 a.m. Friday for the procession.
