Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, April 14, 1994 
William Cheatham of the 900 block of Marshall Ave., died April 12, 1994, in
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

He was born in Norfolk, and was a construction worker for R.D. Lambert
Construction. He was also a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

He is survived by four daughters, Josephine Cheatham Chillis of Atlanta, Ga.,
Geraldine Cheatham of Belleville, N.J., and Sondra and Rochelle Cheatham, both
of Brooklyn, N.Y.; his mother, Lillie Dodson Cheatham of Norfolk; one sister,
Lillie Cheatham Wright of Norfolk; one brother, Joseph Cheatham of Norfolk;
three grandchildren; three uncles, Soloman Cheatham Sr. of Norfolk, Warner
``Amos'' Dodson II of Mount Airy, N.C., and Walter Dodson of Norfolk; and two
aunts, Laura Hassell and Catherine Lambert, both of Norfolk.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in the Full Gospel Church of
Deliverance by the Rev. J.L. Kearney. The burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling the arrangements. The
remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Friday. The body will be taken to
the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. The family will assemble at the residence at 11
a.m. for the processional.
