The deceased was highly esteemed as a man of upright character and unflinching integrity. During his long residence in Norfolk he made many friends who will learn with sorrow of his demise. He leaves a widow but no children. The funeral will take place from the residence Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Smoot, pastor of Epworth M.E. Church. ******************************************************************************** The funeral of Wm. B. Cheek was held from his late residence 244 Bute Street at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon and was largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. Thomas A. Smoot, pastor of Epworth Methodist Church. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
