Cherry, died last night at 9 o'clock at a local hospital. She was a native of Deep Creek, Norfolk County, daughter of Matthew E. and Mrs. Mary Minton Powell, and had resided in this section all her life. Surviving her are three sons, Sidney Lee, Benjamin A. and Linwood W. Cherry; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Cherry Turner and Miss Lillian E. Cherry; a brother, Edward L. Powell; a sister, Mrs. Annie Snyder, of Portsmouth and six grandchildren. She was a member of Memorial Methodist Church and Silverstream Council 18, Degree of Pocahontas. The body was taken to the J.R. Williams Funeral Home, 1027 Chesapeake avenue, pending funeral arrangements.
