Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, October 14, 1990 
Annie V. Cherry, of the 1300 block of Hanson Ave., a retired nurse, died Oct.
11, 1990, in a hospital.

Mrs. Cherry, a native of Norfolk, was the widow of John T. Cherry. She was a
member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, United Order of Tents 364 and Order of
Eastern Star, Chapter 219. She was president and secretary of the Baptist
Training Union.

Survivors include a daughter, Vivian B. Cherry of Norfolk; three sons, James A.
Cherry of Norfolk, the Rev. William E. Cherry of Rockville, Md., and Henry O.
Cherry of Berkeley, Calif.; a sister, the Rev. Dr. Eleanor J. King of Norfolk;
and eight grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Bethlehem Baptist Church by
the Rev. L.P. Watson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the
family from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in Hale Funeral Home and other times at 1364
Hanson Ave. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
