The Virginian Pilot Sunday March 7, 1971
Mrs. Eliza D. Cherry died Friday in a hospital.
A native of North Carolina, she was a daughter of Thomas and Mrs. Indiana 
Davis and the widow of Arthur Cherry.
She was a member of Gilfield Baptist Church.
She is survived by a foster son, Lonnie Grice of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Julia 
Bland of Norfolk; and a brother, Norman Davis of Louisburg, N.C.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in Queen Street Baptist Church 
by the Rev. J.J. Freeman. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Citizens Funeral 
Home has charge.
