Norfolk Journal and Guide, Apr 17,1943

Funeral services for William Bernard  Cherry, 28, 831 Monticello avenue, who died 
in a local hospital, April 6, were held at Hale’s parlor, April 11.  The Rev. E. 
W. Williams officiated.  Mr. Cherry was born in Windsor NC.  Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery.  Hale Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
