Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch August 13, 1929
CHERRY, JOHN W. – At his residence, 325 Poole street, Monday morning, August 12th, 
1929, at 6:45 o’clock, JOHN W. CHERRY, beloved husband of Mrs. Della C. Cherry, in 
the 75th year of his age.
 Remains will be taken from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess 
Anne road, to Freemason Street Baptist church for funeral services WEDNESDAY 
AFTERNOON, August 14th at 3 o’clock. Friends of the family invited to attend. 
Burial, Elmwood Cemetery.
