Cherry, Jr. and daughter of the late James and Mrs. Emma Maude Jester, a native of Williamsburg and a resident of Norfolk 27 years, died yesterday at 4 a.m. in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples, and resided at 2128 Virginia Avenue, East Fairmount Park. Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Oliver Brown, of Williamsburg and Mrs.Helen Otey, of Norge; one brother, Clifford S. Jester of Nassawadox and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Derry-Twiford Funeral Home tomorrow at 3 p.m. by the Rev Floyd A. Leggett, pastor of the First Christian Church, Disciples, and the Rev W.W. Williford, secretary of the Virginia Transit Company YMCA. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
