Virginian Pilot Tuesday September 5, 1899

Lela May, the one-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Cherry, died Sunday night 
at 8 o'clock at their home on Liberty Street. The funeral was conducted from the 
residence yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock.  Rev. T.C. Skinner, of the Berkley 
Avenue Baptist Church, officiated.  The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery.
