Virginian-Pilot  July 9, 1918
The funeral of Mrs. Mary A. Cherry, widow of James J. Cherry, took place yesterday 
ar 10 o’clock at the Sacred Heart Catholic church, Rev. T. E. Waters officiating. 
Miss Rosa Smith sang "Lead, Kindly Light." The floral offerings were numerous and 
exceptionally lovely. Interment was in St. Mary’s cemetery, the pallbearers being 
Frank Norton, Joseph Newmann, T. P. Lannlgan, D. L. Kelly, Lawrence Kelly, Michael 
Dempsey, Capt. A. J. Hudson and A. O. Partridge.
