Obsequie-The funeral of Mrs. Buena Vista Cherry took place from the Freemason 
Street Baptist Church yesterday afternoon at 4 o’clock. It was largely attended 
and the service was impressive. Rev. W.F. Watson, of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist 
Church officiated, assisted by Rev. A.S. Lloyd, of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. 
The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Cherry was a teacher in the Primary 
Department of Norfolk College, and the pupils of that department attend the 
obsequies. She was a teacher in the Freemason Street Baptist Sunday School, 
which yesterday appointed a committee to report suitable resolution in respect 
to her memory. The deceased was a lady of beautiful Christian character and had 
many admiring friends.
