Cherry, aged 81 years, died late yesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emma Horton, 900 Rockingham Street. He was a native of Deep Creek, Norfolk County, but had made his home in this city thirty years. He is survived by two sons, J.P. Cherry, Portsmouth and W.C. Cherry, Raleigh, N.C. and three daughters, Mrs. Julia Webb, Portsmouth; Mrs. Emma Horton and Mrs. Nina Melberg of this city. The body was taken to the funeral home of J.R. Williams, 13 Chesapeake Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 12 o'clock noon. Burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery. ***************************************************************************** CHERRY - At the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emma Horton, 900 Rockingham Street, late Wednesday afternoon, November 3, 1926, PAUL W. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence FRIDAY, November 5, at 12 o'clock noon. Friends are invited. Burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Rhodes and Mrs. R.D. Grinalds sang. The pallbearers were: I.B. Mason, E.D. Wilkins, Joseph Thomas, John Galbrait, Joseph Jones and W.H. Brown. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.
