He was the husband of Mrs. Mary Alice Brownley Cheshire and a son of Edward Conway and Mrs. Ellen Virginia Parker Cheshire. A Norfolk native and lifelong resident of this area, he was retired from the Merchant Marine. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Deans of Newport News; two sons, Charles C. Cheshire Jr. and Ned Brownley Cheshire of Houston, Tex.; a brother, Conway Cheshire of Norfolk; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The body will be taken from H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Holy Trinity Catholic Church for a funeral service Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. ***************************************************************************** SR.
