Alton Chesson - Alton Chesson, age 14, died August 22 at a local hospital. Several 
weeks ago he suffered injuries while playing with a playmate which required 
hospitalization. Funeral services were held at St. James AME Church with the Rev. 
R. J. Brown officiating. He is survived by his parents, four sisters, two brothers 
and two aunts. Interment was made in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Fitchett and Bell 
Funeral Home in charge.
