Norfolk Vriginian November 22, 1891
CHILDRESS – Mrs. MINNIE BELLE CHILDRESS, wife of Police Officer D. J. Childress, 
died on Saturday night, November 21, at 10:15, aged 22 years and 11 months. After 
a long and painful illness, this dear Christian lady peacefully passed away from 
the sorrows of earth to the joys of heaven.
The funeral services will be held at the Union Christian Chapel, Highland Terrace, 
corner of Cook street and Brambleton avenue, MONDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o’clock. 
Relatives and friends are invited to be present.
