Norfolk - Mrs. Henriette Childs of 610 Landing street died in a hospital.

A native of Norfolk, she was a daughter of Joseph and Mrs. Mary Ellis and the 
widow of Willie R. Childs.

She is survived by three sons, Everette V. Childs and Horace L. Childs of 
Norfolk and Staff Sgt. James O. Childs of Texas;  a daughter, Mrs. Graldine 
Moore of Portsmouth;  three sisters, Mrs. Catherline Jones, Mrs. Velma Obey, and 
Mrs. Pearl Washington of Norfolk;  thirteen grandchildren;  and four great-
grandchildren.

Services were held in Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. F. P. Wise.  Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery.
