Norfolk Journal and Guide,July 31,1954
William Henry Christian, 69, of 1545 West 42nd street, died July 20 at his 
home following an illness of several years.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. July 25 at St. Marks RZUA Church with 
the Rev. Roger Steele officiating.

A native of Charles City, VA, Mr. Christian was the son of the late William 
Henry Christian Sr., and Mrs. Marie Jones Christian. He was a retired 
employee of the Norfolk and Western Railroad.

Survivors are, a niece, Mrs. Myrtle Haley, and several other relatives. 
Burial was in the family plot at Calvary Cemetery with Hale's Funeral Home 
in charge.
