Norfolk Virginian Pilot Monday April 28, 1952
Mrs. Adelaide West Christy, 79, widow of Robert W. Christy and daughter of 
the late George S. and Elizabeth Robinson West, died at the residence of her 
daughter, Mrs. Edward F. Emanuelson, 5400 Lakewood Drive, yesterday at 4:05 
p.m.
Besides her daughter, she is survived by a son, M/Sgt. R.W. Christy, of 
Belgrade, Yugoslavia; a grandson, Charles W. Emanuelson, of Virginia Beach, 
one niece and one nephew.  Mrs. Christy was a native of Norfolk and had been 
a resident of New York for 40 years until she returned here a week ago. 
 Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
tomorrow at noon.  The body will be sent to Washington for cremation.
