The New Daily Pilot January 9, 1897

An old and respected inhabitant of Norfolk passed peacefully away yesterday 
at 5 p.m.  Mrs. Margaret E. Church was born in New York, but came to this 
city before the war.  Last Friday she took a chill, which developed into the 
grippe and finally caused her death.  She leaves a son and daughter to mourn 
her loss.  Her son is one of the operators in the Western Union Telegraph 
office.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Notice of the 
funeral will be given later.

 In this city at her residence, No. 383 Chapel Street, Friday, January 8, 
1897, at 5:15 o'clock p.m., Mrs. MARGARET M. CHURCH, aged 57 years.
The funeral will take place from above residence MONDAY AFTERNOON at 3 
o'clock.  Friends of the family are invited to attend.

The funeral of Mrs. Margaret M. Church, who died at her home, No. 383 Chapel 
Street, aged 57, was held yesterday afternoon, the Rev. Father Frioli 
performing the ceremony.
