Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Church were conducted Sunday, August 9 at the
Church of God and True Holiness on Barney street by Elder Richard Brown.

Mrs. Church died August 3 at her residence, 2615 Ludlow street at the age of 68.

A native of Parmalee, NC, she had lived in Norfolk for forty-one years. She was
a school teacher in North Carolina.

Her husband, Elder William B. Church, is the pastor of the Church of God and
True Holiness and she was the mother of the church.

Surviving besides her husband are one daughter, Mrs. Blanche O. Countz; two
granddaughters, Sheila and Brenda Countz, all of Washington, DC; two step
daughters, Mrs. Lucille Bishop of Norfolk and Mrs. Thalie Daniels; two
step-sons, Russell and Rudolph Church; one brother, William Jones; six nieces,
one adopted niece, and one nephew.

Mrs. Church was the daughter of the late Edmond and Mrs. Elisa Jones.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with the Jones Funeral Home in charge.
