Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - October 14, 1990

Janice Marie Claiborne, 62, of the 1400 block of W. 37th St., died Oct. 11, 
1990.
Mrs. Claiborne, a native of South Boston, was the widow of Lindwood 
Claiborne. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Tanner of Norfolk; two sons, Robert 
Claiborne of Alexandria and Raymond Claiborne of Charlotte, N.C.; three 
sisters, Fairy Faulkner of South Boston, Shirley Brown of New York and 
Vivian Majors of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Percy Comer of Portsmouth and 
Floyd Stovall of Norfolk; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Twilight Funeral Home 
by the Rev. M.L. Williams. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. A wake 
service will be at 6 p.m. today in the funeral home. Family and friends will 
assemble at 12:30 p.m. at 1407 W. 37th St. for the procession.
