Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, March 11, 1994 
Florence B. Claiborne of the 900 block of Norchester Ave., died March 7, 1994,
in Norfolk.

She was born in Richmond and was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church,
Norfolk. She was secretary of the Sunday school until her illness.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Claiborne Sr.; a daughter, Dr. Vanessa
Brewler of Detroit; three sons, Lawrence Claiborne Sr. of Chesapeake, Pernell
Claiborne of Portsmouth and Frank Claiborne Jr. of Norfolk; six grandchildren;
two daughters-in-law, Madrue Claiborne of Chesapeake and Bertha Claiborne of
Portsmouth; and a son-in-law, Christopher Brewler of Detroit.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Antioch Missionary Baptist
Church by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body
will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Saturday. Family and friends will
assemble at 957 Norchester Ave. at 11 a.m. Saturday for the funeral processional
to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
