                  RESORT CLUB AFFRAY FATAL TO J. M. CLARK

A fist fight between a Virginia Beach realtor and a Norfolk fixture salesman 
early yesterday morning in a crowded resort night club resulted in the death of 
the realtor and the arrest of the other on a murder charge.
Dead is Joseph Michael Clark, 45, of 46th Street. Clark, vice president of the 
Clark Realty Corporation, died shortly after he allegedly was knocked down by 
the salesman.
Clark was a widower, his wife having died about four years ago. He was formerly 
vice president of the Joseph M. Clark and Brother Water Company, which supplied 
water for boats and ships. His family was part owner of the Wood Towing Company.  
Clark was a native of Norfolk and had spent his entire life in the Norfolk area. 
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary Clark Hogan, of Norfolk; Mrs. W.M. 
Walsh and Mrs. Frank D. Tarrall, both of Virginia Beach. The body was taken to 
the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.

CLARK, JOSEPH MICHAEL — At Virginia Beach, Va., Sunday, October 19, 1952, at 
1:30 a.m., JOSEPH MICHAEL CLARK, son of the late Joseph Michael and Mrs. Molly 
Kelly Clark, aged 44 years. Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services 
THIS (Tuesday) MORNING at 10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to 
attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
