JOS. M. CLARK CLAIMED BY DEATH Widely Known Towboat Operator and Native of Norfolk Succumbs At 68 Capt. Joseph M. Clark, aged 68, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at his residence, 712 Westover Avenue, yesterday morning at 2:10 o'clock. He was the son of the late William H. and Annie Glennan Clark and is survived by three daughters, Mrs. G. Emmett Hogan, Mrs. William Walsh and Mrs. Virginia Elizabeth Clark; two sons, Joseph M. Clark, Jr. and J. Alvah Clark; three grandchildren, Mary Clark Hogan, George M. Hogan and Betty Ann Hogan; one sister, Mrs. Annie Miller Smith and two brothers, Cornelius F. Clark and Capt. John I. Clark. Mr. Clark was prominent as a steamboat operator and was vice president of the Wood Towing Company, a director of the Hampton Roads Maritime Exchange and senior member of Joseph M. Clark & Bro. towboat operators. He was known all along the Atlantic Seaboard. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of which he was a member, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. ************************************************************************** Capt. Joseph M.
