Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 28, 1947

Robert Julian Clark, 58, husband of Mrs. Mamie Corbett Clark and son of the late 
Joseph S. and Mrs. Cora Askew Clark, died at a local hospital Wednesday at 10:55 
p.m. A native of Portsmouth and a lifelong resident of this section, he lived at 
1028 Tunstall Avenue.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert E. and Edward L. Clark, 
three daughters, Miss Katherine Clark, Miss Alma L. Clark, and Mrs. Josephine 
Crosby, five grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mary Howard and a brother, John 
Clark, all of Norfolk.
Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Saturday at 11 
a.m. by the Rev. H.C. Kiefer, of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will be 
in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held tonight at 8:30 o'clock at 
the Oliver Funeral Apartments.
