Norfolk Landmark December 3, 1879
CLARK – December 2d, 1879, after a long and painful illness, which he bore with 
Christian fortitude, in hope of a blessed immortality, ROBT. J. CLARK, aged 59 
years.
Dearest husband, thou hast left me; I grieve, but not as one that has no hope.
“Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord, for henceforth they rest from their 
labors, and their good works follow them.”
The funeral will take place THIS (Wednesday) AFTERNOON at 3 o’clock from Christ 
Church.
