Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark August 31, 1924
John J. Clark, aged 73, of Princess Anne County, died Friday morning at 12:20 
o'clock at his home.  He is survived by his wife, four sons, L.J. Clark, of 
Princess Anne County, C.E. Clark, of Rahway, N.J.; C.L. and J.R. Clark, of 
Norfolk; three daughters, Mrs. M.C. Marable, of Norfolk, Mrs. J.P. McGovern, of 
Huntington, W.Va. and Miss Pearl Clark, of Portsmouth.  Funeral services will be 
conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the funeral parlors of L.L. Williams 
3401 Grandy street.  The services will be conducted by the Rev. Harold Shields, of 
the Fairmount Park Presbyterian Church.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
