Virginian Pilot March 16, 2001

Ruthie Mae Clark of the 5400 block of Tidewater Drive died Tuesday, March 13, 
2001.

A native of Monroe, Ga., she was born to the late Alonzo and Fannie Pierce. She 
was a member of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church, Norfolk, where she experienced 
great joy, friendship and love.

Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Shaw of Cleveland, Ohio, Gayla Edwards 
of Norfolk and Lovelle Clark; grandchildren, Elayne Jackson of Cleveland, 
Yolanda Miles of Laurel, Md., and Theresa and Francesca Edwards of Norfolk.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church with 
the Rev. Paul Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A viewing 
will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Riddick Funeral Service, where the family 
will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
