Mrs. Clark was the widow of Edward A. (Dick) Clark Jr., her husband of 45 years. She was a native of Washington, D.C. and retired from the Washington, D.C. Public School System after teaching there for 12 years. She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, National Honor Society in Education. She had a lifelong love for Ocean View having lived there for 57 years. During those years, she was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Devon Manor Garden Club, past president, Federation of Garden Clubs in Norfolk, The Ladies Auxiliary to VFW No. 3160 and Cub Scouts. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret K. Riordan and Mary Allen K. Mitkievicz. She is survived by her daughters, Sigrid Clark Couch and her husband Jay of Norfolk and Wilma Jean Clark and her longtime companion Doug Billington of Norfolk; and her sons, Edward A. Clark III and his wife Susan of Virginia Beach and Allen K. Clark and his wife Susan of Norfolk. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Kara, Jay Jr. and John Couch, Sarah, Nicholas, Patrick and Edward Clark IV, Amber Clark, Michael Flores and Ryann Click. She has two surviving sisters-in-law, Sister Constancia Clark of Emmitsburg, Md., and Martha M. Clark of Portsmouth. She will also be fondly missed by a large extended family of nieces, nephews and many dear friends. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church by Fr. John Dorgan on Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Norfolk. A Christian wake will be held at the Tidewater Drive Chapel of Hollomon- Brown on Thursday at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends there until 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic School. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Marian Manor and Our Lady of Perpetual Help for the loving care and kindness provided to their mother.
