Norfolk - Funeral services were conducted Monday at First Baptist Church for
Mrs. Leola D. Clark of 927 Sheldon avenue.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with
Riddick Funeral Service in charge.  Mrs. Clark died Dec. 1 in the home of her
niece, Mrs. Gladys Anderson of 900 Gordon avenue.

A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of the Rev. John M. Clark and
a daughter of Henry Douglas and Mrs. Mary Eliza Douglas.  She operated Clark's
Restaurant on Nicholson street many years.  She was a member of First Baptist
Church, Bute street, Independent Order of Good Samaritans and Daughters of Samaria.

Surviving are two brothers, Willie Joe Douglas of Littleton and Linwood Douglas
of Central Hill;  and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Williams of Courtland and Mrs.
Helen Hines of Norfolk.
